We started SAIL because every child deserves to belong
The problems we couldn't ignore
Many preschoolers weren’t getting the support they needed.
High-quality programmes were hard to find.
Empathy and social skills were often overlooked.
Inclusion was talked about — but rarely practised.
We knew there was a better way.
What we believe about inclusive education
Every Child is Unique
Inclusive education is not a programme or a label. It is a way of seeing children — with curiosity, respect, and care. At SAIL Playhouse, we believe learning environments should adapt to children, not the other way around. When children feel understood and supported, they are free to grow into who they already are.
Kindness is
Teachable
Kindness is learned through daily interactions, modelling, and gentle guidance. We intentionally create a culture where empathy, patience, and respect are practised between children, educators, and families. These early lessons form the foundation for emotional resilience and healthy relationships.
Diversity Strengthens Everyone
Differences are opportunities for growth. When children learn alongside peers with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and perspectives, they develop understanding, adaptability, and compassion. Inclusive classrooms benefit children by preparing them for a world that values cooperation, respect, and shared humanity.
Meet the founder
Hello! I'm Pei Lin, Founder & Principal of SAIL Playhouse
After completing my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, I work as a preschool educator before transitioning to early intervention. I believed that if I could help a child who struggles to learn blossom, I could help any child succeed.
Over 10 years, I worked with children across a wide range of learning needs — from infants requiring high support to those thriving in mainstream education with minimal help. I came to realise how often we neglect the soft skills that truly matter: focus, connection, emotional regulation, and grit.
I started SAIL Playhouse to develop these critical skills in young children while preparing them for a globally diverse future, and nurturing them to become advocates for a kinder, more compassionate society.
